The article praised sports fans of St. Louis calling them "the best fans in major league baseball". St. Louis fans knows their sports and they are always giving credit where credit is due, applauding great plays even if the great play was made by the opposing team! This is why we hear of people all over the world traveling to St. Louis, Missouri to catch a Cards game. The fans get much respect and they needed a song dedicated to them.
